John’s newsletter
Have a leap into an industry legend’s mind by reading his monthly newsletter, now in its 20th year:
15th June 2010
Thinking about that studio with growth in last months newsletter it made me think, to continue growth we need new products to attract customers. Last months PMA saw over 500 professional photographers meeting, and talking about ideas and products, so supporting your industry is essential to your success.
If your products or services are not noticeable a lot of promotion ßπ is needed to excite the customers. Verve has opened several studios to increase its turnover and advertising dollar to help.
Professional Studios, being small businesses, it is impossible to put up the money needed to promote professional photography properly. The Associations have the way but not the will.
That is why Harvey Norman/Officeworks and other large companies are good for the photographic industry, they spend large dollars on photographic products attracting consumers into their stores.
If consumers are excited about images and allied products it has to bleed onto the professional photographic industry.
John
