Atkins Labcast Episode 28 - Tony Kearney

Following the Shimmer theme, Paul speaks with Tony Kearney, featured artist at the 2020 Shimmer Festival. Tony is best known for his grand black and white portraits. Working in a rapid minimalist style, the photographs are a sympathetic representation of the humanity in front of his camera. Paul and Tony discuss Tony’s ‘amateur’ status, the importance of community and how his rapid technique works.
