Silver Halide Lay Flat Albums
Actual Silver Halide, not sticky inkjet, the real thing we’ve been doing for 90 years.
These lay flat flush mount albums are made with Atkins traditional wet photographic lustre printing sandwiched with archival adhesives allows stunning double page spreads on single sheets of paper.
Edge to edge colour!
We don’t recommend you bleed very dark images off the edges of your album for our Matte Art and Master Fine Art. It can be done, more so on Matte Art, but you need to be aware of the risks of the ink chipping over time. Not the case with Traditional Photographic albums.
The lush Kodak style paper finish is perfect for family shoots and also ideal for a parent album. Each page thick and luxurious ready to be loved and pored over for generations. Bound with stunning range of materials, that need to be seen and touched to be believed.
Old meets new
Our Traditional Photographic lustre albums are the classic you know and love from when we could get prints from anywhere. We use light sensitive paper, kept in the dark, exposed with light and then processed in wet chemistry, like developer and fixer.
These are not the inkjet prints you may have seen and felt that are tacky and strange, a completely different print technology.
Colour made for you
The colour gamut of the Traditional Photographic albums is really special, designed in the 1970s to make sure the majority of images of ‘life’ looked great. So while the colour gamut is not as wide as say, our Master Fine Art albums, its the ‘just right’ width and depth of colours that you need to make your work look fantastic.
So many clients come to us for our Matte Art albums and then convert to our Traditional Photographic albums because they just love the colour.
