A new robot for Atkins

We put our first robot in in 1970, our beloved C41 dip and dunk processor, and over the years, we have added them in cautiously as needed.

Recently we were given the opportunity to purchase an Italian Automatica book block making machine. It’s a monster of a robot. We have been using the manual version of the same machine for over ten years, but the amount of albums we have to make are pushing on our staff limits, so a robot to the rescue!

I’ll detail more of it’s operation eventually, but here are some photos of it coming in the building, and installation and training by the fabulous Mattia from IEN Industries, who came out from Italy for a week to set it up for us.

Boats, photography, family...or perhaps it's the other way around, I can never remember...
