Presenting to the Naval, Military and Air Force Club of South Australia

Again I find myself in an unusual place.

It came about because Paul Dare has wrtien a book about South Australia from the Above, he has re-photographed many of pioneering aerial photographer, D Darian Smith’s work, and the result is a beautiful before and after review of our state. I’ve posted about this book last year, as it features my father, and we have been custodians of the collection up until last year, click here to read that post.

Paul Dare was asked to present to the Naval, Military and Air Force Club of South Australia as part of their information evenings for members, he roped me in to make a double Paul team. We lept into the task without rehearsal, but we were well received. It was a fun evening discussing a fascinating topic.

I brought along Darian’s Hassleblads as a prop, they are some of the finest examples you will ever hold.
